EXCITING NEW WIRE CLASSES BY MELISSA MUIR

We are delighted to tell you that we have scheduled a well-known wire-working and metals teacher for some special classes in November and December.  Melissa Muir has a wonderful 9-page article this month in Art Jewelry and she will have a second article in the next issue of Art Jewelry.  Melissa’s work is spectacular and can be seen at www.melissamuir.com.  We are delighted to have her teach at our store.  Here is the schedule:

Introduction to Wire Wrapped Pendants, Thursday, 11/20, 6:00-8:00 pm – Fee:  $25.00 (includes kit) -- In this fun class you will work with square and 1/2 round wire (as well as learning what those are) to create a simply stunning sterling silver and pearl pendant. This is a great introduction to the Wire Wrapped Pendants class.

Wire Angel Class – Saturday, 11/22, 10:30-1:00 pm; and Thursday, 12/11, 6:00-8:30 pm – Fee: $45.00 (includes kit) -- These special angels are made in memory of Melissa's daughter and they are absolutely beautiful. You will make two angels and we will discuss various design elements to make each one unique. The design possibilities are endless with these little beauties.

 Wire Wrapped Pendant – Saturday, 11/22, 1:30-5:00 pm – Fee: $55.00 (includes kit) -- Learn to wrap a cabochon with square and 1/2 round sterling silver wire to make a beautiful and unique pendant. There are no pre-requisites for this class; however, you will find this class much easier if you have taken the Introduction to Wire Wrapped Pendants class.

Wire Rings – Thursday, 12/4 – 6:00-8:00 pm – Fee:  $25.00 (includes kit) -- In this class you will learn to make two different rings: a simple knot ring and one with a focal bead. You can bring a bead or crystal to use in your design, or you can select something from our bead collection.  We will talk a little about shaping and hardening the ring. We will work with two different styles of rings and you will leave with three finished rings.
