MISSION STATEMENT

Hi Everyone,

            Thoughts have been running around in my head for a long time about “why” I opened Beads’N More.  I began jotting these thoughts down on paper and want to share them with you.  There are several reasons I opened a store, one of them being that I wanted to share the joy and beauty of beads and beading.  Everyone is creative in their own unique way and it is important to me, personally, to be able to encourage that creativity in everyone who comes into the store. I also wanted the store to be a comfortable and creative space.  While it is nice to make lots of money, there are other things that mean more to me.

With all the problems that people in our society have with each other, I see this as an opportunity to bring people from all walks of life together, to get to know each other, and to bring about a sense of community.  Wherever people come from, we are all the same – we all laugh, cry, feel hurt, and, most importantly, feel love.  The reality is that we cannot exist without each other.  If people are in a space that allows them to be creative, to work with something beautiful, and to feel a sense of pride and accomplishment, at least for those few hours, a lot of life’s frustrations are put on hold and they are able to share a beauty and commonality with fellow beaders.  This may be a small step, but it is a step in the direction of world peace.

All of us who work at Beads’N More share this philosophy.  It is important to us that everyone who walks into the store is valued, treated with respect, and helped with whatever needs they have.  If we aren’t living up to your expectations, please do not hesitate to tell us.  We look forward to seeing you soon and discovering all the beautiful beadwork we can make together.
